VERMIPLASTER is a non-toxic plaster-based system, wermikulitu, perlite and modifying additives forming flame retardant plaster, spray applied to steel structures.
SystemVERMIPLASTER intended for passive fire protection of steel structures inside buildings. It is worth noting, that the product reduces the effects of hydrocarbon fires. The structures are protected against thermal influences of fire in the R resistance classes 30, R 60, R 90, R 120 i R 180.
The thickness of the fire protection is selected depending on the U / A cross-sectional aspect ratio [m-1] and limit the critical temperature of steel.
U/A [m-1] is the ratio of:
- Cutting perimeter length of the section to be heated U [m],
- the sectional area of the section A [m2].
The permissible critical temperature of steel is specified in the technical design.
Technical Information:
- The consumption of the mixture is approx. 7 kg/m2 at the thickness of the protection 10 mm.
- Base, on which the system will be applied should be protected with an anti-corrosion coating.
- The steel surface should be free from contamination.
- The adhesive should be applied uniformly with a thickness of not more than 20 mm.
- The secured structure should be marked with a plate with the following information:
- fire resistance class secure items,
- the name of fire protection,
- thick security,
- date of execution of security.
