The terrace is part of the roof over the room – therefore must meet the requirements for thermal and waterproofing. Increasingly, the design of the terraces are not included waterproofing work – none of these activities entails consequences already evident after the first winter.
We distinguish between two methods of drainage terraces:
- drenażowa – part of the water is drained through a special drain out of the slot structures
- Surface – performance of tight, resistant to surface damage by appropriate, insulating materials ( we invite you to familiarize yourself with our systems terraced)
calculation of heat transfer coefficient U, according to PN-EN ISO 6946:2008, performed depending on the moisture content. Therefore, the terrace is designed so, moisture to the surface did not result in a reduction of thermal insulation. You should choose the appropriate thickness of insulation – the maximum value of heat transfer coefficient U. ( according to PN-EN ISO 6946:2008 for a room with the temperature t1> 16°C ) can not be greater than 0,30, and should eliminate the risk of condensation, for development of fungi, and moisture interior partitions by a platform or condensation zone
Prawidłowy terraces insulation system shall include the following layers:
- Polyurethane resin – SURFACE LAYER ( if any moisture is not able to evaporate due to the resinous layer)
- the film forming layer separation,
- insulation,
- vapor barrier,
- structural slab with a drop or a layer downward,
- cement-lime plaster.
Systems are developed individually. Do you have questions please contact us and make an appointment for an initial valuation.
